The Kingdom of Archades is an active, daily-posting, member driven writing community who welcomes creative, quality, and mature people seeking an RP home.
It is June 1427, and the chaos of Prince Benoit Deveraux’s attempted coup has given way to the restoration of the Sandoval family to the throne of Archades. The newly crowned King Dante wasted no time in returning law and order to the realm, meting out justice for the murder of the late King Alexandre Deveraux and the attempted murders of the Crown Princess, the Princess Royal, and other members of the Deveraux family. Now, he turns his gaze towards establishing his legacy even as those who continue to oppose the restored monarchy begin to organize against him.
Rumors abound that the rebels are led by some of the former Knights of the Order of the Claviger, loyal to the Deveraux name, but the problems are not limited to actions against the Sandovals. Tensions between Estersea and the Rohari continue to escalate, threatening interregional war, and there are rumblings in the semi-desert region of Desmira that the Pasha faces undermining from within. The troubles are not limited there, but continue to spread, promising to test King Dante’s wisdom and resolve. The sides are still drawn, but who will rise above?
