Who we are

Team Genetic is an organization based in the Torrenta Region. We’re still quite small, although our activities are growing in scale with each passing day, and as more trainers join and spread the word, we continue to grow. We are a relatively underground organisation, given our slightly unorthodox fields of research, yet we have begun to expand our influence into recognised scientific communities, and have published several research articles that we hope have benefited the Torrenta Region since.

What we are

Despite how far we’ve come over the years, there is still a great deal about Pokémon which that we don’t know. Scientists, philosophers and researchers alike are all still exploring Pokémon, and with each answer come a dozen more questions. Humans and Pokémon live alongside one another in relative peace, yet we still know so little about one another and, despite our closeness, our two races are still extremely far apart. We seek to bridge the gap, and by doing so deepen the bond between humans and Pokémon exponentially, to build a better and brighter future for both races.

We at Team Genetic explore exciting new methods for enhancing a Pokémon’s natural capabilities, to make them the best they can possibly be. We utilising the latest in advanced technology and scientific research to tap into that unseen potential, and learn more about them in the process. We seek to solve the mysteries that have baffled people for generations, and thereby learn more about this world and those we share it with. We are scientists as much as we are trainers, and we have made several revolutionary breakthroughs over the years.

No avenue of research is off-limits to Team Genetic, and whilst we’ve had several near-misses in the past, we have learned a great deal from each of them, and with each experiment we only continue to learn more. We have made great strides in our understanding of Pokémon, and are proud of our position as the foremost researchers of genetics. We’re still a long way off from our ultimate goal yet, however!

Where do I sign up?

Just drop in! We have our own laboratory for those thinking of starting out on a journey, with starter Pokémon that you won’t find anywhere else! If you’re going to start an adventure, why not start with Team Genetic? We’ll support you every step of the way, so that you can be the best you can possibly be!

Alternately, if you’ve been travelling around for a while, be on the lookout for one of our helpful senior members, who are always on the lookout for new recruits! Just talk to them and they’ll set you up to become a full-fledged member in no time. Note that they are trainers as well as members, so you might need to prove your strength before they’ll consider you!

What is expected?

Very little! Despite our significant advancements in the fields of Pokémon research, we’re still relatively small, and are looking more for supporters than we are anything else right now; don’t worry, we don’t expect you to do anything crazy! As a Team Genetic member, you will spread the word of our advancements to other trainers, and by virtue of being a member alone you will support us in our endeavours. Your presence will help to establish our presence, which will in turn help us to continue our research in the fields of Pokémon genetics. As a Team Genetic member, you will also be the first to reap the rewards of those benefits when we make significant breakthroughs.

You may also be requested from time to time to perform small tasks under the direction of one of our senior members. This is nothing to worry about, though! These tasks will be set in accordance to your skill level as a trainer, and will be designed with you in mind: at Team Genetic, we are all about making you the best you can be, and these missions will be designed more to test your skills and monitor your progress more than anything else. It’s just our way of keeping in touch!

Of course, just because we don’t expect much doesn’t mean to say that you can’t get involved if you don’t want to! Our operatives are scattered throughout the region, just talk to one and they’ll be happy to help you get more involved in Team Genetic.

Anything Else?

Don’t be shy! No matter your age or experience as a trainer, we welcome any and all who seek us out with open arms! There have, admittedly, been a few mishaps in the past with our experiments, for which we have issued public apologies and full compensation to those affected by our activities. New fields of science are ever a tricky business, and there have been incidences in the past where we and others around us have been negatively impacted upon. Yet breakthroughs ever require failures, and as we learn from past mistakes, we come that much closer to unlock the mysteries of Pokémon. With your help and your support, we can make those final steps and bring our two races that much closer together.

Genetics have opened doors to our past, and are the key to our future. Let us unlock that door together.
