~Now the Dark Begins to Rise~

The time is three years after the events of Kingdom Hearts II, when peace finally seems to reign. But, peace never lasts long in this universe, right? Of course.

Right under the noses of our heroes, a Heartless army has been gathering, under the watchful eye of another malevolent force that remains unknown to Sora and his friends. Now, with numbers easily breaking the millions, the Heartless surged from the Darkness to attack the seemingly safe Destiny Islands. Sora, Riku, and Kairi had no choice but to stand and attempt to fight them off, but to no avail.

The battle had a catostrauphic end. When the Heartless finally retreated back into the Darkness, Kairi had vanished without a trace, and Riku had been near fatally wounded. Sora and Roxas were split once more, and the familiar blond haired Nobody vanished along with Kairi.

~Save Your Breath, It's Far From Over~

Riku and Sora were only just able to recover from the attack before the Heartless were back. The two Keyblade Masters were forced to fight once more. Every time they attempt to drive the Heartless out, more just keep coming. The two had to remain at Destiny Islands in order to protect the world and were not able to even attempt to find Kairi and Roxas.

It seems as if they've passed the point of no return. Well, things only get worse. The Heartless are not the true newfound threat. You honsetly didn't think that Organization XIII were the only human form Nobodies, did you? Well, a newer generation of Nobodies have made themselves known as the cause of the Heartless problem. They call themselves the Second Generation Organization.

They are, much like the former Organization, human form Nobodies gifted with powers far exceding any other Nobody. But, unlike the Organization XIII, these Nobodies are faster, stronger, and all-around more powerful. They possess elemental powers, just like the former Organization, but they bring something new to the table. While regular Nobodies merely remember what it was like to have hearts, these new Nobodies possess the power to steal alother being's essence, which, in turn, can kill them, or even extract their heart. Plus, they have such a strong control over the Darkness, they don;t have to wear the cloaks. So, in short, they have the ability to steal a human's heart and create more Nobodies.

The Second Generation Organization have set their sights on plunging the worlds into Darkness, which would extrat the hearts of all lost to the Darkness.

~Leave the Lost and Dead Behind~

Sora and Riku are not the only people clashing with the Second Generation Organization. As it turns out, the original Organization XIII is far from dead. They merely faded into the Darkness, and were somehow able to escape without fading away. Now revived, Organization XIII attempted to go back to The Castle That Never Was, only to stumble upon their Second Generation counterparts, and were driven out.

The well-known Nobodies were forced to relocate to Castle Oblivion and attempt to evade the stronger Nobodies. Never before had they been a target like this, and were so outmatched. Now, it's just a struggle to survive.

~Now's Your Chance to Run For Cover~

So, everybody in all worlds lives in fear of this newfound threat that had reared its head. Each world fights its own battle with the Darkness, and some fight differently than others. So, what will you do? Will you stand and fight, or succumb to the Darkness?
