Can I Still Do This?

Despite Spring making it's mark all over Torrenta, something different could be said about Hibernis Lake. It was still cold and frozen, and the area around the lake was still covered with a little bit of snow. The sun made the ice and snow in the area shine and sparkle. It was truly a beautiful sight, but an onlooker could be distracted by the sound of running in the snow. Upon finding the source of the noise, you would find a shiny Liepard, Espeon, Flareon, Vaporeon and Glaceon running about the lake. The group was running along the edge of the lake, as if they were investigating it. But they stopped before circling it too much. The Liepard took a few steps away from the group and slowly began to change shape. After a few moments, the Pokemon was replaced by a redheaded young woman, with yellow rings in her hair and a tail. She looked back at the Eevee evolutions as they approached her. "I'm not seeing anything too obvious. "

+All the more reason to be cautious.+ The Espeon warned.

+Mother is right.+ The Flareon agreed. 

+You guys worry to much.+ Said the Vaporeon, who was too busy making sure there wasn't any snow on her tail and not looking at the group. 

+Can we please ignore that for a minute and take in how beautiful the area is around the lake?+ The Glaceon said with awe.

Yuri couldn't help but smile at her group of Pokemon. However, the Espeon, Soleil, was not all that pleased by some of her children's response. +If all of you remember correctly,+ she paused and looked at her trainer, before turning back to her children.  +we are here to investigate the strange incident going on around the region. We need to stay focused.+

Pyros, the Flareon, was looking around the area and couldn't see anything obvious as well. +We should all be on our guard. You never know when something could show up and attack us.+

There was indeed something different about Hibernis Lake. Aside from the fact that it was frozen over no matter how hot the weather became, or no matter what happened around it. This day, a group of investigators came searching for the recently reported anomalies that had been spotted around the region. But how would the morph and her Pokemon tell what was anomaly and what was just the quirks of the lake?

That may soon be solved. As the group took another close look around, two figured off in the distance would become visible. One tall and oddly shaped, the other quite short. The two figures seemed to be twirling around each other, with the larger one crashing to the ground quite often. Were they fighting? Who knows. They were too far away from the group to tell for sure.

But perhaps if they investigated further, the truth could be revealed...

+Oh please Pyros, you don't need to act like the 'big brother' protector all the time.+ Kaia said, annoyed.

+Well, I wouldn't have to if all of you used caution on occasion!+ Pyros yelled back. The bickering seemed to just go back and forth between the two, with Yuri and Neve trying to bring peach among the sibling Pokemon. Soliel sighed at her two children. Despite being fully evolved, they all still had a some growing up to do. Before the mother could intervene though, her ears perked up from a different noise entirely. Her eyes searched the area until she found what was causing it. Two black figures, with one constantly falling to the ground. +Yuri...+ Soliel called out to the trainer. The young lady turned her attention to the Espeon before her eyes found what her Pokemon was looking at.

"Pyros, Kaia, be quiet!" She warned her Pokemon. As they turned to protest, Yuri pointed in the direction of the two figures. Pyros' eyes widened. He knew he was right in being cautious. +I'll take care of them.+ He told the group before charging towards the others.

+Wait Pyros!+ Soliel called, but her son didn't listen. His attention was focused on the two figures ahead of him.

<'I just can't do anything right...'>
<'Nonsense! You're just a bit... top-heavy, that's all!'>

As Pyros dashed towards the two figures, their shapes started to come into focus more and more. One of them was rather small, the other one was rather tall. But the tall one looked quite strange... it had a square head! As the Flareon got within ear-shot of the two, he would witness the larger one fall down yet again. Though it did not look like they were fighting at all. In fact... they had been holding hands and the smaller one had been leading the larger one along. They were... ice skating?

Sitting on the ground, the larger Pokemon looked down at the ice before muttering, barely audible: <'It's no use... I can't do it. I'm just a klutz who can't take two steps on the ice without crashing down on my bum.'>

<'Nonsense! You'll get it, I promise!'> said the smaller Pokemon, now quite visible as a Piplup, <'I think I've figured it out! With the big block of ice on your head, it makes you top-heavy! So you just need to adjust your stance to accomodate! Let's give it another try!'>

With a shrug the other Pokemon, which Pyros hadn't seen before, got back to his feet and took the hands of the Piplup again. It did not appear that either one of them had noticed Pyros yet, or the group of Pokemon and their Trainer he left behind.
