APPEARANCE --
Sprite made by Fluffy
Marroc is first of all a Rapidash type A morph. From the waist down he has the body of a Rapidash, the waist up is his humanish body. He stands at a height of 6'5" and weighs roughly 260 lbs. His sandy blond hair, which he inherited from his father, is the perfect match for the rest of his body. His blue-gray eyes that seem just like an incoming storm cloud always seem to be bright and sparkling. He's always looking at new things. It might make him seem a bit curious but those who know him know that he is just trying to pass time when he does so.
Marroc dislikes wearing clothing because there was never a need to on the plains. He does have a single tattered vest that can't button up if he needs to cover himself for some reason. For the most part he prefers to be all natural, his chest bare in the sun like he's used to. Besides, how many stores sell flameproof jeans for horses?
PERSONALITY --
As predictable as it is, Marroc Whitepine is a rather hotheaded trainer. He will go out of his way to prove he can do something he's told he can't do it, that's the main reason he became a Pokemon trainer actually. He doesn't actually have a short temper, but it's shorter than most people. He won't get angry at the slightest sleight against him but he's more easily annoyed than is normal. When he does get annoyed he becomes brusque and will try to end any contact with the person. If that doesn't work, say the person persists in their annoying acts, then Marroc will get angry and sometimes violent to get them to stop. He's also not a very humorous person, often misunderstanding simple jokes or sarcasm.
Having been raised in an insular community of Morphs and enjoyed it. He was raised to respect the laws of the tribe and learned the punishments that came with breaking said laws. Even outside his tribe he will do his best to follow the letter of the law, no matter how difficult it may be for him. The only times he would even consider breaking the law would be for a family member or a close friend.
Marroc is somewhat unused to the modern world. His tribe lived a nomadic lifestyle and had little use for technology. Modern advancements such as the PDA and automatic doors disturb and confuse him. He would much rather remain with his tribe than explore the outside world. If it weren't for the incident, he likely would never have left.
As a trainer Marroc will fight to win, but with a sense of honor. He won't break any rules and tries his best to not bend them in order to win but occasionally will to get the advantage. He treats his Pokemon with the respect due any living creature. One way Marroc angers is when he sees a trainer treat their Pokemon as nothing more than tools or dumb animals.
Marroc dislikes leaving Pokemon in Pokeballs. Most of the time during his travels he will let his Pokemon walk alongside him or ride on his back. He will only keep them in their containers if absolutely necessary.
HISTORY --A tribe that roams Torrenta's vastness. That is where Marroc Whitepine's story begins. Every member of this tribe is a Pokemorph, each in the form of a centaur. Whether they be Girafarig, Zebstrika, or Sawsbuck, all coexist peacefully. Marroc's parents are both Rapidash morphs like their son and in the Ponyta line like their entire family. Marroc is the eldest of three children, his brother born only a year and a half after him and his sister another four years after that. Life was uneventful for the Whitepine tribe during this time.
Life stayed that way for fourteen years. Marroc's sister grew restless in the Whitepine Tribe. The young Ponyta-morph longed for something new and exciting. The tribe passed close to a human crossroads. The night after, Myrca, Marroc's sister vanished. Those not close to her worried that she had been taken by non-centaurs. Marroc and his family knew differently, Myrca had left to pursue her fantasy of exploring the human world.
The family worried for Myrca's safety. Marroc volunteered to search for her. His parents, while reluctant to lose another of their children in such a way, agreed that it would be best for Marroc to go. It was suggested that he journey to the Pokemon Laboratory as that was the likeliest place for Myrca to go first.
